The Estadio Malvinas Argentinas is also sometimes used for concerts and rugby union. It was one of the 1978 FIFA World Cup venues. The national football teams of Brazil, Iran, the Netherlands, Peru, Poland and Scotland played at the stadium during the tournament. Club Deportivo Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba use the venue for home matches. The club was founded in 1921. Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba became the first sports club from Mendoza with 100,000 followers on its main social media page.
