The QBE Stadium is also used for concerts, football and rugby league. In 1999, it hosted the first-ever final of the world championship for national under-17 football teams in New Zealand. The match was won by Brazil after defeating Australia. In 2006, the venue also hosted the first final of the Oceanian championship for football clubs with a winner from New Zealand. Auckland City, the second football club from New Zealand with 10,000 followers on their main social media page, won the tournament. One year later, Waitakere United became the second club from New Zealand to win the title. The stadium hosted the inaugural FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final in 2008, with 16,000 people in attendance. In 2015, it hosted the first-ever final of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. 25,000 people attended the football match, which was won by Serbia after defeating Brazil.
