The stadium was the main baseball venue for the Games of the Olympiad in 2000. The GWS Giants and the Sydney Thunder use the stadium for home games. The GWS Giants Australian football club is among the main Australian football clubs and the Sydney Thunder cricket club is among the main cricket clubs from Australia. The Western Sydney Wanderers played numerous matches at the venue. They became the third football club from Australia to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup.
