The former football club Gold Coast United used the venue, which is also known as the Robina Stadium, for home games. The Gold Coast Titans, one of the first rugby league teams with 100,000 followers on its main social media page, are the current tenants of the stadium. They played their first-ever National Rugby League match at the venue on 14 March 2008, with 26,000 people in attendance. The Titans won the match against the North Queensland Cowboys 36-18.
