The stadium is known as a venue for various events, like American football, Australian football, concerts, cricket, football, motorcycle speedway, rugby league and rugby union. It hosted various events with attendances above 100,000, like football, rugby league and rugby union. The stadium was the main venue for the Games of the Olympiad in 2000. In 2015, it hosted the first-ever AFC Asian Cup final in Australia. The national football team of Australia won the match after defeating Korea in front of 76,000 fans. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Wests Tigers use the venue for home games. They are among the first rugby league clubs with 100,000 followers on their main social media page.
