Extra stadium info – The Dome at America’s Center
The construction costs of the stadium, which opened as the Trans World Dome, were $280 million. It is known as a venue for various events, like American football, basketball, concerts, football, monster truck events, motorcycle racing, religious events, robotics championships and wrestling. The stadium was the home of the St. Louis Rams, currently known as the Los Angeles Rams, between 1995 and 2015.
Football
On 10 August 2013, the venue hosted a football match. The Spanish side Real Madrid won the game against the Italian side Internazionale 3-0. 54,000 spectators attended the game. Real Madrid became the first sports club with 100 million followers on its main social media page. They won the inaugural edition of the world championship for football clubs in 1960. In 1964, Internazionale became the fourth football club with a world championship title. Peñarol from Uruguay became the second one and Santos FC from Brazil became the third one.
