Extra stadium info – Louisville Slugger Field

The construction costs of the stadium were $40 million. The Louisville Bats have been tenants since 2000. In 2015, Louisville City FC played their first domestic league match against St. Louis FC and their first domestic cup competition matches against Lansing United, the Indy Eleven and the Chicago Fire. In 2016, they faced Detroit City from Michigan and the Indy Eleven from Indiana in the domestic cup competition. The same year, Louisville City attracted 10,000 fans when they faced FC Cincinnati in Louisville, which became a record for the club. Louisville City became the first football club from Kentucky with 10,000 followers on their main social media page.
