The construction costs of the venue were $350 million. Tenants Los Angeles Football Club, one of the first sports clubs from Los Angeles with a value of $100 million, played their first-ever Major League Soccer match on 4 March 2018. They won the game against the Seattle Sounders 1-0. Diego Rossi from Uruguay scored the only goal of the match. On 31 March 2018, LAFC suffered their first MLS loss giving up a 3–0 lead, to lose 4–3 to the LA Galaxy. The world famous Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who made his debut for the LA Galaxy in that game, scored two goals in that match.
