Extra stadium info – Rogers Place

The first NHL match at the venue took place on 12 October 2016, when the Edmonton Oilers played against the Calgary Flames with 18,000 people in attendance. The Oilers won the Stanley Cup various times. Wayne Gretzky, who was born in Canada, played for the Edmonton Oilers. He is generally regarded as one of the best ice hockey players ever.
