The stadium named Ullevi became a venue for several events, like athletics, boxing, concerts, football, ice hockey, motorcycle speedway and speed skating. It hosted several FIFA World Cup matches in 1958. 49,000 people showed up at the first-ever FIFA World Cup game at the venue. The national football team of Sweden reached the 1958 FIFA World Cup final after winning 3-1 at the stadium named Ullevi. Brazil won the final after defeating Sweden 5-2 in Solna.
