The stadium hosted various football matches of Karachi United, one of the most popular sports clubs from Pakistan. The club was founded in 1996. It became the first football club from Karachi with 100,000 followers on its main social media page. On 17 August 2021, Karachi United won their first domestic top-flight football league match. They won their home game 4-2. A few days later, Karachi United lost their second game in the top-flight football league of Pakistan. They lost three more games before they won their second game in the top division.
