Football club Sanfrecce Hiroshima is among the first sports clubs from Japan with a value of at least $10 million. It became one of the first Japanese football clubs with 100,000 followers on its main social media page. Sanfrecce Hiroshima won the professional Japanese top-flight football league in 2012 for the first time in their history. They drew an average home attendance of 17,000 in that league season.
