Arema, one of the most valuable sports clubs from Indonesia, became one of the first Indonesian sports clubs with 1 million followers on its main social media page. In 1993, they won their first domestic top division title. After winning the title, they qualified for the Asian championship for football clubs for the first time in their history. 15 other clubs also participated in that tournament.
