In 2019, the Mumbai Football Arena hosted its first-ever final of the Indian Super League. That year, Bengaluru FC won the final of the ISL for the first time in their history after beating FC Goa 1-0. Rahul Shankar Bheke, who played various matches for the national football team of India, scored the only goal of the game.
